Analisa

Analisa started dancing at a young age, exploring different genres from jazz to hip hop, and later ballroom as a teenager. Growing up in a family of dancers and musicians, she had the opportunity to watch her mother perform many times with a dance team.

It wasn’t until 2016 that Analisa began to explore the world of Latin dance. It was her first time experiencing the social dance scene and learning how to dance salsa and bachata. One night at Tango Del Rey, she saw her first salsa team performance and remembers thinking, “I want to do that!” Little did she know that while supporting her best friend Lucy at a free audition at Melómano, Analisa would be invited to join a salsa performing team.

Since joining Melómano, Analisa’s love for dance has only grown, but her passion for helping others on their dance journey has grown even more. After being on countless ladies’ salsa teams, bachata ladies’ teams, and partner teams, she is grateful for the opportunity to have trained under the gifted dancers Patrick Hernandez and Diana Trigo. They have supported her dance journey, not only on the dance floor but also by creating a sense of community for her and other dancers outside the studio. From helping the directors run the studio throughout the week back in 2017, she has now grown into her role as an instructor for both bachata and salsa. Analisa loves seeing her students have their “aha!” moments in Bachata Cycles and is also grateful for the value she has gained through her partnership in instructing alongside the talented Kevin Qin over the past couple of years.

Dance has evolved for Analisa from being an outlet to also becoming a space for growth, as she learns and helps others learn through her joy of dance.
